Cromarty cinema

Down by the ferry slip, a 35-seat, fully accessible modern cinema has taken shape over the last year and finally opened on Friday 31st January 2020.  Below is March into April weekly programme of screenings, including big new releases, films for young people and the best independent cinema. As a community asset we want the cinema to be used as much as possible, so it will be available for private hires, for parties, conferences and gaming nights (see below for more info). Remember, this is YOUR cinema!

There is no booking system for the films below - queue and pay on the door only. We are striving to implement a booking system and will let everyone know as soon as this is up and running and online bookings are open.

There is also the opportunity for additional events that we can put on out-with this, if there is the demand.

The cinema, like many Cromarty schemes, started off as a wine-fuelled dream, but has been made real through the incredible support of grant funders such as:

Highland LEADER
Creative Scotland
Viridor Credits
The Robertson Trust
Beatrice Partnership
Highlands and Islands Enterprise
The Foyle Foundation

Plus lots of individual sponsors of seats, stars and givers of plain old cash!  To all of you, a resounding thanks …If you would still like to play your part and make a donation, we have many costs yet to cover and always appreciate every penny:  www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/cromartycommunitycinema
